JANISHA SABNANI

Janisha has served on the BASIC Fund Board of Directors since 2022. A graduate of UC Berkeley and NYU with advanced degrees in Law and Business, she is passionate about supporting education and community initiatives, as well as advancing diversity in the legal and financial fields. Janisha believes that supporting the education of a child is an invaluable investment in their future success and the well-being of their communities, and that the BASIC Fund’s work is essential to advancing educational equity in the Bay Area. She currently works as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Heritage Bank of Commerce.

Janisha also serves as the founding Secretary and Treasurer of the BASIC Fund Scholarship Foundation, established in 2023.
