The BASIC Fund (BASIC) is committed to donor privacy. We have created this Privacy Policy to explain the manner in which BASIC collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from individuals and organizations that have supported or may support BASIC.

BASIC does not disclose donor information outside of the organization, unless given permission by the donor. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending email communications. We may share your information with these third parties for the limited purposes for which you have given us your permission.

Use of Information
BASIC requests that donors provide information in order to complete donation transactions, periodically recognize donors, provide charitable gift tax information, and to communicate with donors through print and electronic mail. This information is collected voluntarily and is retained for BASIC financial records and tax purposes.

Anonymity
BASIC takes care to ensure that donors who wish to remain anonymous will be excluded from any public donor recognition and that all personal identifying information of anonymous donors is kept private.

How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, transaction information and data stored on our site.

Changes to this privacy policy
BASIC has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time in order to comply with federal and state guidelines. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page.
